Road to Fitness

The road to fitness is a VERY winding, grueling, uphill and downhill, debris filled road.  It's not easy.  It's not easy at all, but it's well worth it.  It's worth my confidence, my health, and my happiness.   When I started this venture I was 209 lbs.  GASP!  Yeah, I said it.  With the help of my husband, I managed to change my diet and introduce exercise easily into my daily routine.  I had dropped 40 lbs when I found out I was pregnant with our 4th baby.  I tried to maintain my diet as much as possible, but I craved the taste of vinegar like it was a necessary staple and thus ate many Burger King cheeseburgers with extra ketchup and extra pickles.  Sooo...I was 198 lbs when I delivered Melody.

Starting my healthy eating again was easy.  After Mel was born, I didn't want anything to do with a cheeseburger, HA!  I've been getting involved in a lot of charity events (runs, walks, etc) and have been spending a lot of time at the gym with my husband.  It's our quiet time to relieve stress so we enjoy it.

I have one very large finishing goal.  I want to be able to go home and surprise everyone.  Not just my family, but everyone I know.  I want to shatter the image they had remembered last seeing me as.  The tears of joy and relief will flow when I finally reach that goal.  It's getting closer and closer everyday!
